I feel a generation rising up, dawning in this land, where Christ following beliefs and traditions are being covered up, defiled, and forgotten... turned into nothing but futile days to celebrate creation rather than the Creator. The Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, "Earth day..." examples of this God given land being pillaged and filled with little pagan gods in return. I have always enjoyed going out into the backyard easter morning and picking up eggs, opening presents brought down the chimney by a man in a red coat. I have also been a fan of recycling, being energy efficient, planting trees, and have always supported eco friendly organizations to "be a good steward of the earth" (Psalm 115). However, these things have never labeled me or been a source of worship, it is not what my heart is praising...
My call to you, my friends, is to guard the gates of your heart and mind. Let nothing take hold of them. For where this earth infests you, the Holy Spirit cannot reside. He is not of this world, he is Holy. He humbles Himself and enters your temple, do not let it be filled with idols or let your soul forget the One who created it.
On this day, "earth day" as the world calls it, RISE UP! Praise the One who holds this day! Even in death, He conquered evil. He wears the keys of death around His neck, taunting the one who used to hold them. This day, my brothers, is worthy of PRAISE! This day, my sisters, is worthy of REMEMBRANCE! ...How can I keep from weeping at the thought of his suffering and power being defiled and forgotten- replaced with the joy of children being found in pretend tales... and the celebration of his people turned towards the earth. Do not let your hearts go astray... do not let his name become a disgrace to utter. SHOUT IT OUT! LET IT LABEL YOU!
"YES! I AM A FOLLOWER OF JESUS! YES! I AM A DAUGHTER OF THE KING! YES, I AM A CHURCH ATTENDING, LOVER OF HIS NAME! AND I AM NOT ASHAMED OF IT! I WILL NOT BE QUITE! I WILL SHOUT UNTIL THE WHOLE WORLD HEARS!"
Be encouraged my friends! Jesus lives! HE LIVES HE LIVES HE LIVES!!! Celebrate with the fatted calf, bring out your best wine! Share in His Victory! Praise him in this hour!

Beautiful Life
Akiane Kramarik- child prodigy. At the age of 4 her talent for painting and writing poetry was discovered. When asked where her inspiration came from her answer was, "When I am away in Heaven with God." She grew up in an atheist home, she had no TV, she had no newspaper or computer, and she lived in Idaho. She had no source of imagination to create these wonderful scenes of the Heavens. After painting a detailed work of the cosmos, an astrologist visited Akianes home and asked, "How did you know where those stars were?" She answered, "Jesus took me there."
A boy named Colton Burpo was dying in the hospital from sever appendicitis at the age of 4. He was in surgery for no more than 3 min. when he came out exclaiming to his parents that he had been in Heaven for what felt like thousands of years. His parents tried to trip him up to test and see if he had been telling the truth, asking him questions like, "where did you go when it got dark?" "Where was Jesus sitting in Heaven?" "Where did God sit?" He answered each one correctly in correlation with what we know from the Bible. "It doesn't get dark." "God sits on the thrown (<-- a word he did not know before his operation)." "And Jesus in front of his Daddy on the right."
Colton told his parents a story of seeing and hanging out with his great grandpa... when shown a picture of him as an old man Colton said, "no, thats not him, people in Heaven aren't old and they don't have glasses." However, when shown a picture of his great grandpa in his prime, he exclaimed, "YES! thats him."
Colton also said that he had met his sister... Colton had one sister, she was alive. But what Colton's parents had never told him was that they had had a miscarriage late enough in the pregnancy to see hair on the baby's head and to find out the gender. Colton went on to say that she isn't a baby anymore, she has grown, God had adopted her, and she is waiting for a name from her parents.
When this boy's story was shared, people wanted to know what Jesus looked like. People would show him pictures of the "ideal Jesus." With every picture shown to Colton, he would see something wrong with it... the nose wasn't right, the eyes weren't right, the face structure was all wrong. Colton was introduced to Akiane because they shared similar stories... When shown a picture Akiane painted of Jesus... Colton was speechless for nearly 10 min. He just stared at it. "That is Him." All that he said.
I dont know the particular reason God chose these couple of children to reveal himself in such a spectacular way! but I do know that He has consumed the very beings of these children, God is all they know and He is more real to them than anything on earth. These beautiful children have looked into the face of God and have lived to tell about it here on earth for a purpose. May their stories be shared across the world so that everyone may be convinced that Heaven is a place, not only is it a place, it is a sanctuary. A place were we will never become burdened or bored or weary. May this story bring you hope for the coming age! When his Glory will Reign and Rule over the nations and over these many generations! COME LORD and have YOUR way with us! Your people surrender to your will!

The Push
I have heard the song "How He Loves" by John Mark McMillan a thousand times. Still, it has never lost its potency with me. I heard it at WNL, thought it was insightful and powerful, but it wasn't until I was introduced to the video of John interpreting this song that I saw and understood what these words were saying and how inspiring they were.
"Well, I thought about You the day Steven died,And You met me between my breaking.
I know that I still love You, God, despite the agony.
...They want to tell me You're cruel,
But if Stephen could sing, he'd say it's not true, cause... you died for me. He loves us."
"How He Loves" was written in dedication to John's friend, Stephen, who died in a car accident. Watching this legendary (well, i think he is:) man weep at the thought of his friend dying, leaving, being taken from him, made me think of my grandpa who died two years ago.
The day he died, I remember thinking about it all reasonably. It was inevitable, I knew it was coming, and in all honesty I was prepared for it... It wasn't until after the funeral, I was going through his things with my grandma, that we came across an old bookmark in his nightstand. It was a crayon drawing of what looked to be a tall man and a little girl. It had my name on the back of it. I had drawn it for him when I was 5... I balled. Out of all his 19-21 grandchildren, I was the one that he kept a piece of right next to him in his night stand every night. It was in this moment that I saw how much he really cared about me. Even though I only saw him once or twice a year, even though it was hard for him to show emotion, to show me he cared about me, he really did. I started to think how unfair it was that my grandma had to be alone. How unfair it was that I didn't really get to see him much before he died. I thought about how unfair it was that I don't have a grandpa anymore and how Henry (2 year old brother) would never know a grandpa.
I was okay with my grandpa going to Heaven, he wouldn't have to hurt anymore, but why did he have to hurt at all? Why couldn't he have been around more? I was hurt... and I was mad at God, but God was okay with it...
At the end of the song, John sings about Stephen to God...

...They want to tell me You're cruel,

He Loves us. He loves my grandpa, He loves Stephen, and He loves us now while we are still living. I have learned from this song and from this experience that its okay to not understand, its okay to be frustrated and mad at what has happened... and its okay to look at God and ask him why?... He loves us. He loves us in our frustration, our agony, in our rage. He finds you and renews you, because he loves you enough to die for you. Why should I deny him my grandpa when he doesn't belong to me, when He won my grandpa's heart with His own death... How deep his Love runs for us.
May my King bring you peace, may he find you in your battlefield and bring you drink and rest. He loves you and wants you to live this life knowing this truth and resting in his presence. Hand your battles over to him and He will bring you Honor!

Distance
I dont know why... but every Saturday mornings sitting at Starbucks with my Dad... I always walk away from our conversations having better insight to life, and I come back to reality questioning things. We spend most of our time together talking about YWAM, planning and discussing, praying. Really we just talk about me, about what I want, and talking about what life was like for my dad at my age. Our conversations make me feel prepared. Like God has given my dad swords and daggers to pass down to me with every conversation we have. God has been building me up and preparing me with every passing day. I can feel him giving me dreams and aspirations. He tells me beautiful things about myself and shows me how beautiful I am to him.
I can see, feel, and smell a long dirt road ahead... he is dressing me up for it, he is tightening my leather buckles and handing me jeweled swords. He places a crown on my head, its beautiful but its just another piece of armor to me. Its gonna be a long battle march, but its just a stretch of battle ground that will direct me back home to his Kingdom. I can't see what is going to jump out at me, but I don't care! I'm not gonna have to fight, I'm not gonna have to use my beautiful sword once. I have an army, I dont know where they came from, I don't know what they are, but I dont care. I'm not very focused on them. I'm looking ahead because He is ahead of me. Standing in my direction, waiting, watching, loving me. He is behind me too, watching, but He wants me to focus on Him who is in the distance. I don't know what the atmosphere and surroundings of the Kingdom will look like, every step I take looks different but at the same time it all looks the same. The only thing that captures my attention is this manafest of Beauty! this Life Force and Source! He Loves ME! its all I can think about.
My Family, Brothers! Sisters! Have visions and dreams of His glory! Of who YOU are in Him!

The Beauty In Dirt
Something I realized I allow to slip past my mind on a day to day basis is how beautiful human beings are. Made in the image of GOD? We are beautiful. We have spirits that differ from person to person. We have attitudes, passions, personalities, unconventional feelings, we love to discover. Even the most lost of a human will admit to having a passion, a pursuit, will confess to having unconventional feelings, or a driving lust to discover.
What drives this passion? What institutes this need to discover?
What makes us beautiful? What makes us so different from any other creation?
More... What makes God Love us so much?
A vision was given to me when I was struggling to find a "non-sunday school" answer to these questions. The Lord took me to our secret place, a place where I feel closest to him. He brought me to His soul. To the core of who He is. He has so many different doors to so many different rooms of His personality. He told me, there in the grand corner of his heart, that a piece of one of His rooms was used to make me. A piece of Him was put into my soul, my personality. You know how people have different spiritual gifts? Its because we all have different pieces of our Lord God put into our souls to create the fabric of who we are. To create our own personalities, our own fingerprints. Even the Atheists are created in the image and in the heart of our God! Why do you think He loves them so much? Passions, dreams, beauty; all things that they sense and feel. Why shouldn't they feel it? Its instituted into the fabric of who they are just as much as any other human. They were created to worship our God just as much as we were.. whether they take advantage of this gift or not, they still were! We humans are beautiful. This word should be used a lot more than it is. ITS WHAT YOU ARE BECAUSE ITS WHAT HE IS!
Let not a day go by, my friend, that you don't reminisce on the grand beauty of our King's soul! of your neighbor's soul! For we are ALL made in the image of our Father!
